Starburst will be making her home in Southern California, with Kathy Lofthouse and her family.

If she pays attention in class, and doesn't spend too much time chasing after TC, maybe some day Star will be an agility star. She already has a few records to her credit, mostly climbing related. If they add a climbing obstacle to agility courses, she has it made!

Starburst (aka "Emma") Update

Mint will be joining her owner, Mitzi Bateman, in Northern California.

Mint's sweet face is not misleading... she is exactly how she looks: patient, gentle, and loving. She also wins the "best body" award for this litter, as judged by Pat Hastings. Mint isn't flashy but she is beautiful.

(And yes, Starburst and Mint are both out in the rain... life in Oregon.)

Skittles is our cross country traveler, flying all the way from Oregon to Connecticut to her new home with Jenn Wiegand.

Skittles will be joining Jenn's distinguished pack. Some day Skittles may get a chance to follow in Finn's footsteps on the agility course. In the meantime, she'll probably be shadowing Flurry, making friends with collie Willie, and generally wreaking havoc as she experiments with the play-potential in Jenn's belongings.

Skittles (aka "Nixie") Update

Twix is looking forward to making her new home on Bainbridge Island in Washington.

Twix will be carrying on the English Shepherd tradition established at the Bird household by their previous ES, Jenny -- picked for them by their Aunt, Sue Woods, Jenny's breeder. Sue also owned/ bred some of Twix's ancestors: Woods' Hollie and Coalie, and Sam Odie.

Twix has some big shoes to fill... but she is a smart, self-assured little girl, ready to take on that responsibility.

Snickers will be the first English Shepherd for his new owner, Kent Etheridge, on a farm outside Corvallis, Oregon.

Kent's previous dog was a livestock guardian. Improved fences keep the coyotes out now, so Snickers' job will be helping Kent out with the sheep... some day.

Rollo will be joining Kris Hazelbaker and her family on their cattle ranch in Idaho.

Rollo is a teddy bear. Women of all ages find him irresistable -- a fact our sons are old enough to find useful... puppies as chick magnets. Huh!

Kris' cattle may be less easily impressed, but Rollo will start his career as a farm dog with something a little smaller: learning where the chickens are allowed to roam. Once he's mastered that, he should be ready to follow in his father's footsteps as a cow-dog.
